May 20,2020

am so excited to finally see all of you. Yesterday was crazy for sure but after 12 hours of going back and forth between emails, calls and home school, I believe that I have successfully rescheduled or left messages with all of the appointments that were missed these past two months! Yay!!!

If you believe you had a missed appointment but didn't hear from me, please reach out via email at hairbyNMG@gmail.com so we can get something set up.

I am now working on scheduling the rest of my waitlist appointments and anyone else who would like to get in. I had intended on opening my online booking but because scheduling is so whacky right now I thinks its easiest for you to contact me directly and I can do it for you.

You guys have been so amazing. Thank you for your understanding through all of this.  Just like all of you, I have never done this whole global pandemic thing before so I'm learning as I go.  I can't predict the future, I don't know when the kids will have school or when I'll feel things are safe enough for my mom to watch my kids again, or when I'll ever be able to share my space and work with my best friend or not have to be dressed like a surgeon in order to do your hair, so I truly appreciate everyone's patience and support during this time. Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to read over our Covid Safety and Reopening Plan as well as all of my other emails and updates! It's so much easier and faster than me having to explain everything to each of you individually. I want to get information out quickly to give you time to prepare because it's so important for me to ensure the safest experience possible. With that being said another day has passed and I am getting new information from the town and my building regarding our guidelines.  I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to you. I am working to stay as up to date as possible with my information therefore I really cant promise there won't be any additional updates in the future. I've added these details to the plan and you can view the whole form edited and updated in the link below.

Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns and I will get back to you as soon as I can:)

It's the moment you've all been waiting for.. Our set date to reopen is May 26th! While I am so excited to get back to work, I am taking this very seriously. I am being cautious and doing everything I can to make my salon a safe environment for everyone!

Please review the following plan and Covid-19 safety measures form carefully. All forms must be reviewed and signed in order to schedule an appointment.

You can also see the states Phase 1 Salon guidelines here:https://www.mass.gov/doc/hair-salons-and-barbershops-checklist/download

I will begin reaching out to those of you with missed appointments. To be fair, you will be rescheduled in the order of your cancelled appointments. Please understand that I am trying to reschedule appointments from as far back as March 16th so it may take me a few days to get in touch with all of you.

With the overwhelming amount of appointments that need to be rescheduled, and in order to keep messages and requests from getting lost, I’d ask you to please help me to keep all of your questions in one place by contacting me via email only at hairbynmg@gmail.com I will be unable to answer messages via text message, Facebook messenger and Instagram direct message at this time.

Thank you for being patient during this strange time. We will get through this together if everyone does their part! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me! See you soon!

As of today we still have no clear date on reopening the salon. Hopefully later this week the governor will provide us with some sort of timeline and guidelines for our industry specifically. I honestly know just as much as you do and I promise as soon as I know more I will notify everyone and start rescheduling missed appointments ASAP!

In the meantime I am still working hard to prepare by stocking up on masks, sanitizers, cleaning supplies, disinfectants and other necessary supplies to have the salon safe and ready to open as soon as we are able.

If you do not have a missed appointment but would like to be put on my waitlist or if you have any other questions or concerns please email me to let me know! hairbynmg@gmail.com

Just a reminder we have color kits available in our online store and we are also placing pre orders for our new apparel line!

As many of you know, the Massachusetts

Stay at Home order has  been extended until

May 18, 2020.

Here is my current plan for in salon services:

-As other states begin to reopen I am paying close attention to the guidelines and the different opening phases that their salons need to follow.  I’m assuming that when we are ready, Massachusetts will follow in a similar way. Therefore, I am doing my best to stock up on supplies so that when we do reopen I can be prepared to practice services following any guidelines in the safest way possible.

-Because there is no official reopening date and I am not 100% sure of what our state and town Board of Health guidelines will be, my appointment books continue to remain closed. Doing so will give those with missed appointments priority and will help to keep the rebooking process as fair as possible.

-I am keeping a list of all cancelled appointments from March 16-May 18.

-Once I get an official reopening date from my building, as well as confirmed safety guidelines, I will ensure the salon is prepared to open following all said guidelines.

- Once prepared, I will then start to contact those with missed appointments. Appointments will then be rescheduled in the order that they were cancelled.

-Once all missed appointments have been contacted I will then reopen my books for new appointments first come first serve.

Here is my plan for bridal services:

-Once stay at home orders are lifted I will be available for all scheduled bridal services.

-Although my service books are closed, I am rescheduling tentative bridal trial appointments. These appointments may need to be rescheduled in the event of another extension but I am trying my best to ensure availability for those brides with summer weddings before their scheduled wedding dates.

- I am working with 2020 postponement brides to reschedule wedding day services. We have rescheduled, working with our brides and planners to try and keep all vendor availability, to mid-week, Friday, Sunday, Winter, and 2021 dates. 2020 Saturday dates are currently full except for a few dates in November and December.

- I am booking 2021 bridal inquiries

We are all trying our best to navigate through these times while regulations are continuously changing. Whether you need recommendations for everyday hair maintenance or you’re a bride concerned about your dates, please contact me with any questions you may have. I am willing to help in any way I can and I’m working to do my

best to accommodate everyone. I miss all of you and can't wait to see you soon!

Hi everyone. Looks like we just got word that we will be closed until at least May 4th. Because we are unsure of an official reopening date and unaware of any new restrictions or guidelines we may need to follow once we do, we're still holding off on rebooking any in salon appointments at this time. I am still reaching out to anyone that has had a cancelled appointment week by week to discuss your individual needs and go over different maintenance options that may help in the meantime. I know this is a tough situation for everyone. As you know we have been closed for almost a month now. This leaves me with a long list of people that are going to need their hair done ASAP when we reopen. Once we open I am going to try my absolute best to accommodate  everyone. Again if you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to reach out at any time. I am here to help in any way I can.

For my existing and inquiring brides:

I am currently still accepting inquiries for 2020 late fall and winter months. I am also booking into 2021. I  know everyone has different circumstances. Some have already had to reschedule and for others it is just a waiting game. Please reach out to me as soon as you have your dates or any updates so I can do my best to be there for everyone!

A few more updates:

Our online shop is now live. You can purchase some of your favorites for Stoneham porch pick up or local drop off!

If you don't see what you're looking for you can also shop R+Co directly at www.randco.com

I just want to say thank you to all of you! The decision to close my business was not an easy one, but the positive response I've had from so many of you helps me to know I made the right decision. I truly appreciate all of you who reached out to check in on me, wrote a thoughtful review or asked about purchasing  gift cards! This is such a crazy time for all of us and I miss being in the salon and seeing all of you.

Three days after deciding  to close last Sunday,  the Salons by Jc management closed our building as well. As of today, the salon is unable to legally reopen until after April 7th 2020. Things are changing everyday and I cannot guarantee our reopening date. With that being said, I have decided to close my appointment books for in salon services until further notice. I am keeping a list of canceled appointments and will contact those affected as soon as I get word on a reopening date to reschedule. I will be contacting upcoming appointments week by week to discuss maintenance options in the meantime. Please feel free to email me at hairbynmg@gmail.com any time with questions.

Important notice to all of my amazing clients:

At this time I have decided to temporarily close my suite for everyday salon services. I will limit my upcoming appointments to wedding day services only, for as long as I am legally allowed. Despite the school closings and news warnings, business has been surprisingly as busy as ever. I never thought the effects of the COVID-19 “coronavirus” would amount to this. Many others in the beauty industry and small businesses around me are being faced with the tough decision, whether or not to keep their businesses open. Although it will be hard financially, I have to put the health of my valued clients and the health of myself and my family first. The more I learn about this virus the more I understand that the only way to slow down the rapid spread of it is to limit exposure with one another. We can Lysol, sanitize and wash our hands constantly, but as long as we are breathing the same air we are spreading germs to one another. The unknown of how this virus can really affect each of my clients, whether they be eldery, ill, or perfectly healthy, is something I take seriously and I would never want my business to be a place where the virus is being spread. I’m hoping that more people, even if they are healthy, decide to stay home as much as they possibly can within the next few weeks. Research shows that if we can do this we will #flattenthecurve and help to make things more manageable for our healthcare professionals. As soon as I get more information about when it is ok to reopen for everyday business, I will let everyone know. I will be available anytime via email for any questions you may have. If you are an upcoming bride and have concerns please reach out. I will stand by you and do everything I can to be there for you in whatever decision you make for your day. Thanks so much to all,💗Nicole #staysafe #staystrong #stayhealthy #smallbusiness #supportsmallbusiness
